*Orlovsky helps Lions down Bills in finale*

ORCHARD PARK, New York (Ticker) -- Dan Orlovsky threw for 114 yards and a touchdown Thursday, leading the Detroit Lions to a 14-6 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the preseason finale for both teams.

Artose Pinner carried 22 times for 78 yards for the Lions, who finished the preseason 4-0 for the first time since 1993. The Lions open the season at Atlanta on September 7.

Orlovsky completed 12-of-21 passes for 114 yards and capped a 10-play, 61-yard drive with a 9-yard TD pass to Jerome Felton with 11:03 left in the second. The Lions recorded a safety and three sacks in the first half.

Rian Lindell kicked a pair of field goals for the Bills, who open the season against Seattle. As expected Buffalo rested starting quarterback Trent Edwards, who has been nursing a deep thigh bruise. He practiced Tuesday and is expected to be ready for the opener.

Gibran Hamdan completed 18-of-26 passes for 158 yards, but left with 9:14 remaining after being sacked. Backup J.P. Losman was forced to play, but did not throw a pass.
